MARTABAK!!~

So, we had dinner at a food stall selling street foods from Jakarta before going to Mosaic. The owners are an Indonesian couple and the reviews in the internet have been good this far. IMO, this is the best Indo food stall in Singapore so far, from price, foods offered and taste. PLUS, this is definitely a good alternative to all ayam penyets that are really popular in Singapore, which IMHO, don't taste like in Indo at all. They are more Malay-like.. or.. (OK, the NTU students from Jakarta may hit me now, cos my friends from that specific town love eating there!) well, simply they don't satisfy a Chinese-Javanese-stayed-in-South-Jakarta like me (and how many people with that combination are there here in NTU??). So if you want to know how Indonesian foods taste like, the best way is to go directly to Indo and eat there. =)

The good thing is this stall sells MARTABAK. Oh God. Love it. They also put pangsit, both fried and soup-made, in their menu but I had never encountered this type of pangsit filling before until I ate there.. I don't know, it was just different. Anyway if you're not familiar with these foods, I can't give the English names, sorry, so you have to try them yourselves. The closest names in Singapore would be Indian murtabak pancake and dumpling but the Indonesian's are different and unique that I completely refuse to call them Indonesian murtabak and Indonesian dumpling.

I don't have the picture of the pangsit (we ordered the soup one and the contrast was not good because they were all white, including the bowl, so I discarded the photo right away..) but these are what we call martabak. The first image is buttery-sugar martabak and the second one is martabak filled with the combination of rice chocolate, cheese and peanut.

They also sell siomay. This is inherently one kind of dumpling too.. Siomay is fish-cakes (I hope this definition is correct) topped with peanut sauce (you can add lime water on it if you like) and usually served with cabbages, boiled eggs, beancurd cakes and this bittery veggie called "pare". Anyway, the peanut sauce and the fishcakes are the most important part of siomay; if one of them don't taste nice then the dish is a fail. Back to basics, people. LOL. So I tasted the peanut sauce, it tasted nice. I didn't taste the fishcakes since my friend said that the portion was quite small so I didn't have the heart to take some =D But my friend said that this tasted nice =)

Anyway this is not the correct way to eat martabak, actually =D But there were only 3 forks for 4 of us so the one who didn't get the fork used this Chinese way for eating instead. Haha.

Anywaaaay *promo* just in case you want to give it a try, I'll give you the details =P

7 papers were not the problem. Myself is.

After a semester of skipping the exam review due to a big disappointment, this sem I'm going to post it again. It's not that I'm not disappointed, or I am content with the result.. But this sem taught me a LOT.

I had 7 papers this sem, they are a LOT, but since 1 module is put under S/U option and another 1 is lab which, more or less, you can't study a lot and wait and see it happened, so, it is roughly the same as usual =)

So.. let's start.

CBC922 - Medicinal Chemistry
Roughly a simple module, or 3rd biochem module according to my friend. My biochem record is not good at all, but thank God I could get through this. The paper was considerably, relatively more difficult than the past years' ones.

CBC314 - Physical and Biophysical Chemistry 2
A LOT of questions, and a WAAAAYYYY LOT harder than past year papers! My friend who sat behind me showed a bad sign after the invigilator collected our answer booklets, and I couldn't help but agreed with her. Moreover, we are, more or less, at the same level, and she was worried until days after this paper. Made me worried as well.

CBC316 - Chemistry and Biological Chemistry Laboratory 4
Somehow I believe that the questions are being recycled each year! Lab written exams were never easy for most students, especially because the TAs only explained things that were necessary for experimental procedure and data processing. In the paper they asked technical questions (who had expected?????). INCONSISTENCY!!!!! Oh.My.God.

CBC932 - Polymer Chemistry
The paper itself was relatively easy, only a few "trap" questions. I only hope I am helped by the bell curve, though.

HP806 - Psychology of Crisis Stress Management
I am very glad that I S/U it. The module was quite interesting, but the exam paper was quite deadly.

CBC311 - Chemical Spectroscopy and Applications
Overall remark is the same as polymer. The first lecturer, who gave a HARD mid-term quiz, put easy questions, but the second lecturer who had an easy mid-term quiz gave one "trap" but easy question and one super long, tiring question. Yaaa, so, bell curve, save me please!

CBC934 - Heterocyclic Chemistry
The initial shock was interesting. And I wondered why I put nearly the same answers with those students who S/U this module? *faints* I still do strongly hope that I will pass this module with a good remark.

It was not a good exam period, right? Yes. It was tough.
But it was not as most NTU-ers tought. The problem was not the number of papers (this is NTU! Chemistry and Biological Chemistry division, to be exact. You will end up with 5-6 papers normally). The problem was MYSELF. With procrastination. Yessssssss. Maybe the same thing was also my pitfall last sem, apart of being insecure, having lack of confident in myself and ending up listen to and follow people's opinion out there, tired of all the unimportant projects from core modules (should I cross that out? even professors in my division admit that as well!), works, bad priority adjusment and people out there, in general and in specific.

I need more Rachel Berry good qualities.

However, it seems that not only me who realized something was wrong about some students in our cohort.. So if that person reads this, just be confident in yourself, gal. You have much more incomparable, good qualities as well =) Just do your best and don't think about anything else, I believe you will make a good chemist, a good scientist, or a good person in whatever form you may be (musician, perhaps?), one day.
Looking forward to treasure the long journey of research with you =)
Hey! Who, among undergrads in CBC, have ever gotten 4 papers, as first author, accepted at top, high-impact journals from 10 weeks of work, anyway?

Merry Christmas, my Darling exam papers

I was curious about some things this morning, so I watched Glee through online streaming while I should be studying for exams. Well, I think the storyline are getting better at the last 3 eps.. Today's (A Very GLEE Christmas) was quite inspiring anyway, and I drew some Christmas messages that you may not get in Church (which Church tells us to believe in Santa, anyway?), or have heard to be forgotten after the mass is over. So..
  1. it does not need you to be smart to be able to create magic. Brittany.. How inspiring she is today! She's hilarious and dumb, but sweet-hearted on the other side.
  2. Santa is real! He lives in your heart to do kindness to others, especially those who need it. Inspired by Beiste and Sue. Love Sue and Will's frenemy relationship and how Sue were moved because of New Directions again this time =) The ending scene when Sue and New Directions broke to came over to Will's house to accompany him who lived alone and celebrate Christmas together was nice and heart-wrenching, anyway. Like it =') although some songs for New Directions' caroling to make their beloved coach surprised would be nice rather than those expressionless looks.
  3. it's not always how you look, it's how you act. That ugly girl who wished to be prettier Beiste told Brittany, was Beiste herself, am I right? Now that she was thankful that Santa did not grant her wishes, she was enabled to do kindness acts and inspire other people. She really had a big heart =)
  4. miracle... is not always real. But wishes are. Hope is, too. Luck does exist. And hardwork is surely paid. =)
Some random things:
  1. FinnChel was not back yet this ep! =D Yossshhhhhhhhhhh~ Prediction is correct, again. Better scene today, compared to the lame breakup! I'd like them to stay this way for a while, though, for them to be mature and strong and well-behaved. Shippers, calm down and don't attack either Lea's, Cory's or Brad Falchuk's twitters again! If the rumours that they would be end-game are true, then just wait for their return to be a stronger couple they would be. See their shared looks and half-smiles at the end of the ep?
Lesson learnt: If you want to create angst, or in general, do something, it must be epic. At least, if people blame you because of the angst, you're still forgiven for the epicness.
  2. Santittany for life!! I have not really seen them interact like before lately. This is why I support FinnChel, so that Finn does not go to Santana and ruin Santittany-Artie-Puck relationships =P
  3. I wish for the Evil Trinity (Quinn, Santana, Brittany) to be back in action. Not destroying New Directions, since it'll be less likely now that they are a more-or-less-dedicated part of it, maybe do something else for the school or what? =P
  4. love Santana's (Naya's! it's always the casts who do the performances, and the characters as the writers' puppets, if no, Rachel/Lea and Quinn/Dianna would not hold hands at Dog Days Are Over last ep) solos: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Valerie. Can't. stop. listening. to. them. Aaarghh.
  5. if I can predict some main points at some Glee episodes successfuly (for 3 last eps: Kurt moved to Dalton Academy, Finn-Santana thing revealed to Rachel, Rachel and Finn angst) can I pass PRD001 - Predicting Exam Paper Questions with As (A+s are bonus =D) in my Degree Audit? =P I think concentration does come into play here.

So.. back to exam period business =I Concentration! Yes, beside no procrastination. Still need to go to lab this afternoon, though. Ck.

Funk.

Yep, the one thing that I predicted (and looked forward to) happened: the truth was revealed!

Yes I'm talking about Glee. That TV show. An entertainment after I finished all my CAs and am looking forward for the upcoming holiday and what will happen beforehand.

What happened between Finn and Santana was revealed, yes, and I'm really happy about it. At least everyone knew by now.

But the rest of the storyline were unexpected. I'll comment on each:
  1. Will-Emma-Carl.
I hope Mr Schue will stop victimize the glee club kids in order to get Emma's attention.
  2. Why Quinn and Sam got the lead part.
heyheyheyhey... It was sectionals and not just some practicing (agree with what Finn said). Comparable to heterocyclic chemistry exam paper vs sudden personal bombardment in class.
Not Finn and Rachel as leads was completely fine to me, but replacing them with Sam and Quinn.. hmmmm. If I had someone to blame, it was definitely Mr. Schue (and the writers, definitely). For the nth time, I believe he did that ONLY to impress Emma or follow what Emma had said. Right?! Tying is not as satisfying as winning, you know what, and by choosing Sam and Quinn, it was not competitive at all. They are the weakest singer in Glee club! Talent is talent, but before throwing them to competition, polish it first!!! Well, I'm disappointed.
  3. The sectionals result
The result itself was lame!!!!! How can it be like that? It's like pushing the storyline, to satisfy the Glee should-be storyline while giving a favorable side to Kurt and the Warblers at once. How can? how can? how can? One with weak leads, and one with weak coreography. Make up your mind, pls! Not cool.
  4. What happened at the backstage
They were all outcasts once. And see how Mercedes and Tina treated Rachel? Santana was being mean as always (I'm not sure what was her problem with Rachel, actually? She was insecure, she was popular, but I don't think Rachel had something to do with it.. Their lives didn't seem to intersect at all except the Finn truth), but yes, everyone in Glee club definitely did not deserve Rachel's label of "friend". Including Finn, definitely. I started to see Rachel as the victim of image and character development...
  5. And especially, what Rachel did. and what Finn did.
Oh girl. Revenge is revenge but you did it with the wrong person! Why don't you have an emotional moment with Kurt somewhere? This only lead to people hating her again after we thought that she'd earned her lessons and started liking her. How I really want to pour a gallon of iced water in 50:50 mixture composition above your head. Be thankful that I don't pour you concentrated nitric acid that I used to clean my electrodes, or else your talent will be diluted and flowing together with the liquid.

And Finn.. My God. I think the whole conversation were at the super wrong situation. Rachel was upset about not getting the solo but instead Santana got it, then the truth about Finn-Santana came out. Mr Schue blamed her for whatever she did, and the whole fight at the backstage/green room at Sectionals. He even had a fling in a hallway with Santana! At the end, Rachel's "cheat" came out. The situation was tense and he was sort of being cheated on with 1 same guy. But had he ever wondered if Rachel saw him flirting with Santana at the hallway, and then, she met Puck afterwards and the rest just happened? Hey! You did that when the situation was still very tense and it was Santana, Santana, and Santana. Remember? It's like having an exam/mid-term paper discussion directly (within 36 hours) after you screwed it up. Wrong-wrong situation, timing and condition. Been there, and it IS definitely really painful. So don't you just accuse here and there and be childish. Grow up, guys!! (Golden rule: don't treat people the way you don't want other people treat you with).

What were both of you thinking? Aaaarghhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'll have some nice nap to forget about all of those crap and get myself prepared for the battling weeks ahead (plus I screwed up most of the time in the past weeks..). And hoping that FinChel will be back at the next episode (last ep before winter hiatus) cos I don't think Puck is worthy of either Rachel or Quinn.. For this moment, as he hasn't matured at all. FinChel haven't, neither, but I think by having this 2nd break-up, and if the writer is still faithful to what he said before that FinChel is not going to break up this season, I hope they will grow up somehow. Sheesh. Teenagers time.

Aniwai, dear Glee writers, nice hint of Puckelberry last week! And to add that Finn was the one who said that =P
Oh is the Warbler's bird the hint for next week? A bird who is changing her feather, and will be all healthy and "sing again" in no time? *crossing finger*

give us our Kurt back here!!

If next week's Glee is like this again, I hope it won't affect my revision. Please writers, give us something good and worthy (worthy to wait for) for the winter break.

(should I create new label for my photoshopped scenes and photos and comics?)

They hugged each other, except the most right ones =P

See the used to be enemies, real-life BFF held hands?

Faster, please!

My prediction had quite come true.

When I keyed in "Glee-Furt" (today's Glee ep) in google, all the tweets reported how sweet and adorable this episode was. And some things happened according to what I've been predicting and wishing upon watching the promo video.

I really want to watch it soon. Hopefully in 1 hour or so. Pleasepleasepleaseplease.

Mygosh. Lab report? Revision? Quiz-prep? I may be forgetting about them again after getting hyper because of this ep. Nooooo!

edited on 1pm:

Yeah that was adorable! Got the ep at around 11.30, watched it until three-quarter, then had a lunch break, then continued.

Awwwww...... A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! and fun!

And here's some highlights.

Things that I predicted and happened:
  1. (The first and foremost wanted list) Santana confronted Finn about what happened between them last year, and how Finn trembled when he saw Rachel. Gotchaaaaaaaa! Total fun and anticipating for what'll happen next.
  2. Sue rejected her mom.
  3. Kurt moved to Dalton Academy before Sectionals. (this gave a biggest impact on me in this episode. I had predicted before, but when it came, I didn't feel at ease)

Things seen in promo video, but not happened according to what I had imagined:
  1. The coreography at "Marry You" when New Directions went in together. I thought it'd be 10 of them going in, then closed with Finn holding Rachel in his arms (that's in the promoooo). But then those two scenes appeared at different timing of the song =( Actually I had seen Finn and Rachel went in together with the other 10 people.... But it'd be more "awww"-ing to see the coreography that I had in mind, as a lovey-dovey couple they were =)

Unpredicted things:
  1. Mike Chang really SINGS!!!!!! I always love Tina/Jenna Ushkowitz's voice, tho.
  2. Quinn got a solo at a New Directions performance (preview for Regionals? Interesting.)
  3. Quinn got more attached to Sam (even she broke to his locker to take the promise ring). Looking back at her previous relationships, even the relatively stable one with Finn, she'd never looked like that in normal condition (the baby drama was exceptional). I noticed that somehow Sam had calmed her down.. If it was not because she matured after the drama that spanned during season 1.
  4. The cover version of "Marry You", for me, was really worth it for Burt who wanted a great band. He looked unsure when Kurt told him that he was going to hire New Directions to sing at the wedding with no payment (just food and fun.. yes, students, friends helping friends.. been there), but, look at how great they were! (biased: don't really like Bruno Mars, and this version is suitable for weddings and show choir IMO)

LOL-ed at:
  1. Brittany's continous claps when the other New Directions members had frozen and pointed to Burt and Carole.
  2. Priest: "We usually start with a prayer, but a certain young wedding planner, who shall remain nameless, was afraid that some attendants might fall asleep..."
Santana: *hit Brittany to wake her up*

Brittany really made my day in the midst of lab report.. Thanks gal!
  3. Burt: "(on Kurt) ...he grabbed me by the shoulders and he pointed me towards this woman right here, and he said 'there she is, go get her'..."

Remember what was his original intention in doing this? =P

Loved the expressions and gestures:
  1. Both Santana's expressions upon looking at Finn and Rachel together (when Rachel came to the room where Santana and Finn were at and at the wedding when Rachel sobbed)
  2. When Finn was nervous after Rachel confessed that she'd never done "it" with Jesse. GOTCHA again!
  3. When Rachel asked Santana to leave (softer word: to excuse) the girls with boyfriends to discuss about "saving private Kurt". It's like preview to what'll happen at Rachel-Finn-Santana "tragedy" =P

Anwy, this is what was going through my mind when seeing the "seating composition" of the last scene (raw version, will edit it on holz),

  4. Carole had Rachel handle her bouquet. Seemed like she approved her as Finn's girlfriend =)
  5. Rachel's when Finn said that the couples in New Directions had nicknames: "Finchel" *typical Rachel smile* and "Puckelberry" *frown-fainted-sweating-disgust*
  6. Quinn and Sam's small dancing at the beginning of their verses in "Marry You". Funny.
  7. The ribbons at Artie-Brittany-Puck-Santana verses in the same song. And the two Cheerios danced with the ribbons. I remembered my high school marching band's ribbons then.
  8. Mr. Shue's version of Sway and how he brought it up. And he threw the standing microphone: COOL!
  9. Will Schuester's proud looks upon seeing his kids performing at the wedding. I have never seen a teacher who's as inspiring, impactful and proud of his kids and make the kids proud of him like that. One of a lot of things that made me jealous of New Directions: having a teacher like Mr. Shue.
  10. All of Sue's! She's..... hilarious! Go Jane Lynch!

Cried/shed tears at: my mid term scores NONE. I'm feeling-less. Not like all the tweets saying that they were crying and such.. I only "awww"-ed and screamed and LOL-ed.

So that's it for this ep.. I shall get back to my Beer-Lambert's Law, BAPNA solution and enzyme kinetics. Well I managed to fill in some data while watching =) I should keep it up and start firmly saying no to procrastination.

Next stop: REGIONALS! (and exam period *cry*)
Reportedly Santana is going to have a solo and I am TOTALLY looking forward to that.

Current track: Marry You - Glee cast version

finished one.

Wow, this is the lightest after-exam feeling I've ever had.

My papers weren't as successful as the past 2 semesters (in terms of distribution curve =P), but then, I feel really thankful for this semester. (And I'm not going to make an exam review, I think, too painful to remember)

As this deadline is fulfilled, I still have some things to finish. My last event as ISCF exco - Exam Thanksgiving, is going to be held later this week, followed by AGM where I will finish this period's serving. 1 year flies sooo fast! =) Also, my deadline of stay in my current place (Hall of Residence) will come following since NTU will use this place as the Youth Olympic Village for athletes participating in YOG. So I have to move out =(

I learnt a lot, both from the ups and downs. Learnt from my experiences, and mostly, from mistakes. Yep, a lot of mistakes were done. I will have to correct them and improve myself in times to come.

I am also thankful for lots of opportunities and plan changes made this semester. Thankful to Him for choosing me to serve in His ministry. I realize a lot of new things and I still have to learn a lot from this. Most importantly, learn to be humble upon Him, the Ultimate Master. Thankful for the fellowship of friends that I have, most importantly for my KTB which is going more and more advanced in terms of book =P

Yah, I do have lots of regrets and "what ifs". I wonder why I had to take up two project modules this sem (and this is drawn back to: why SPMS have those two modules as core for students?) which quite definitely will ruin my overall GPA (my acad writing tutor was from school of soc sci and did't know the terms in chem that we used in our report.. aarghh.) and one super-lame module (applicable mostly to SC and SPR, lalala, I'm not in both). Wonder why I was really freaking out in one thing, that made me forget the others. Why my life-cycle was not the regular normal one this semester. And a lot of why, why and why.

But then I am also thankful for the achieved wishlist, and I believe without His blessing and guidance I won't be achieving them. I am thankful that He allowed me to take part in one of my prof's research group. I am thankful that I have enough courage and hope to do things. I am thankful for having a lenient schedule for this time being (which I didn't utilize properly) and for the next holiday. Thankful for my friends who are not just ordinary friends. And thankful for Him to guide my way and keep me from falling.

Then I'm going to pack my things, since I have to move out from this hall soon.

Anxiously waiting for GPA announcement, and watch what will happen next (hopefully nothing.)

Not well resolved.. but.. okay.

Yes I had repost my new wishlist, and I think it's good to review the past year's :)

Subjects : CBC934, CBC922, HP806, CBC932
All accomplished *and deadly in the semester* =)

A room in hall
Thank God, this year I am able to stay in hall from the beginning of the semester.

Summer Research on 2009/10 in PC, IC or OMC ;)
My research was in analytical-nanomaterials chemistry instead. Enjoyed it. It was still within physical chemistry though.. And I was working with metals. So, it was not so far from target.

Takoyaki
Just accomplished days ago!

Molecular model kit
I bought one.. Hopefully it would be useful (and resell-able upon graduation =P)

A place to shout and share photos and photoshopped-photos and videos and things like that, but not facebook
made another blog in tumblr, mainly for galleries.

Well, a wishlist and a past resolution should be reviewed, I guess..
Some of them had been paraphrased from the original, because I erased the accomplished one and changed some of them during the year. So this is the original one as far as I can remember ^^

Another Exam Review (should must be *only* 5 more reviews in the future, hehehe)

Yeay, exam period semester ini selesai!

A lot of thing to be learnt.. not only the course materials but also those lessons of life.. Thanking Him for the opportunity ^^

And *as usual* this is the review of the courses.. With modified name also! hahahaha =P

HL 808 – Pengenalan terhadap Realisme Magis
Elective HSS (Humanities and Social Science) pertama gw! Thanks to this module, gw akhirnya benar2x menyadari sekarang kalo gw gak demen baca buku literatur sastra kelas berat lagi selain manga pembunuhan (aka Conan, hahahahaha), buku sedikit berat tapi berbahasa Indonesia, dan.... paper untuk mengerjakan lab report saya. huah. Tapi modul ini berakhir cukup menyenangkan kok setelah gw bergumul cukup keras saat add/drop period. Kadang lucu... walaupun banyak yang rated R -____-''''''' 6 pages of essay. NICE!
Overall : 3/5 *layak ambil kalo suka baca dan mau di-S/U.. sekelas Singaporean smua!*

HP 802 – Writing Working in the 21st Century (Menulis di Abad ke-duapuluhsatu and here comes doraemon *tetotetot.. kantong ajaiiiibbbbb*)
Rekor paper! 8 PAGES OF ESSAY! hoahoahoahoahoa. Nih pelajaran guna sih, kayak BK pas zaman SMA gitu, suka lucu2x isinya.. Kayak bahas sifat2x orang gitu tp dlm hubungannya dgn pkerjaan. Psychology menyenangkan... tapi tidak layak untuk diulang mengingat pegalnya tangan saya setelah menulis 8 halaman selama 2 jam.
Overall : 3.5/5 *perfeksionis ah*

CBC931 – Kimia Industri
Actually I’m kinda enjoying this module.. Soalnya gw lmyn industrial minded lah. Get quite a lot of knowledge yang harus di memorize disini. Ck. Soal examnya luar biasa hafalan.. Rada kanciong juga ngafalinnya.. Dan seperti pelajaran2x hafalan saya yang lain, agak2x gmn gitu tapi oke kok!
Overall : 4/5

HMG 2 – Bahasa Jerman level lanjutan
SUSAH!!! gokil deh pokoknya. Sama quiz beda jauuuuhhhhhh.
Kalo ga salah peringatan tinggal 15 menit jadi 'you are again reminded of the seriousness of cheating ...'

CBC213 - Kimia Organik
Yah lumayan lah dibanding kimia organik level basic. Tapi orang2x sini kalo bilang 'gak bisa' itu even 1-2 anak soal (point dari soal, misalnya 1a, 2b etc) ga bisa aja dibilang ga bisa seluruh paper... so????? *memang kiasu pdhl grade tdk mnentukan kepintaran ckckck*
Overall : 4/5

Udah susah-susah sekolah, punya grade bagus tapi ga ngerti apa2x, buat apa?
(di-paraphrase dari kak Yulius.)

Yah.. pendidikan yg sebenarnya...
That's why I can still say 'ok' despite the 'hard'ness of the paper.

Oke deh selamat berlibur… ENJOY and HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS!~~

review - going to 2nd year in a couple of months!

PESAN AWAL:

hmm aku mo review dulu deh.. ahahah

note : penilaian overall disini tdk ada sangkut pautnya dgn GPA saya..

MB101 - Accounting
Background :
Exam? not so bad lah...
Overall : 4.5/5. recommended untuk diambil buat orang2x yg ga suka presentasi :)

MAS182 - Calculus for the Sciences II
Background :
Lanjutannya MAS181 super sue. Aku ga ngerti what's the point of learning the latter...
Tutor? Orangnya baik. Klo di kelas tutorku tuh aku biasanya udah ngantuk, dia jelasinnya ga jelas, mo nanya pun males..
CA : HANCUR BERAT. Udah ga usah tanya2x. Trus ini juga ga di S/U. Hebat luar biasa nya diriku, pdhl yg nilainya 2x nilaiku aja udah pada S/U. ahahaha. Mari berjuang untuk exam like last sem... Wish me success!!!!
Exam? oke lah..
Overall : 4/5 (ini harapan minimal grade, hahahahahaha *stress*)

HMG1 - German Language level 1
Background :
Ga bisa ambil Japanese Language (HMJ) krn jadwal exam nya clash ama accounting (dan ama sistem course registration NTU aku dikasihnya accounting bkn HMJ :'( ) dan Jerman itu ga geje2x amat (dibanding korean yg... you know lah, drama korea atau chinese yg nulisnya beribet) dan ga susah2x amat (dibanding french) jadi yaudah ambil lah course ini...
CA : hmm.. Not bad lah.. Cukup gila ngafalin bentuk2x nya, artikel2x nya, dll.. Jerman kan pke sistem maskulin-feminin-neutral (gender) untuk noun..
Exam? Not bad lah.. Aku kira bakal susah gmn2x bgt tp menurutku ini lbh mending dr Past Year nya. Heheheh :) Walaupun karanganku tetap saja monoton :(
Overall : 4/5. Menurutku ini bahasa Eropa yg ga tlalu susah.. So klo mo ambil Modern Language Elective bahasa eropa, ini layak ambil kok..

CBC112 - Principles of Modern Chemistry with Laboratory II
Background :
Berbekal a slight failure in CBC111 (not as expected gtu) maka saya berjuang di CBC112!! heyaaahhhhh!!!!
CA : ahahaha. begitulah ;p
Exam? aku sih cukup yakin yah sama hasilnya.. Ga selesai liatin semua soal + solutions yg diupload sama lecturer sih, tp dgn berbekal rumus2x fisika SMA yg digabung dgn rumus2x kimia... yaaaaa... okelah..
Overall : 4.5/4 4.5/5, hidup inorganic chemist. hahaha :)

PAP182 - Foundations of Physics II
Background :
Setelah ga pernah belajar waktu ambil PAP181 dan berhasil pass dgn sukses.. Kali ini aku jadi rajin belajar gara2x first half of e sem blajarnya electricity.. ahaha.. Plg dodol dah dsono.. trus.. Tutor! GJ. Sampe waktu Student's Feedback on Teaching ga tega isi punya dia.
CA : not so bad to obtain a pass grade.. :)
Exam?
Overall : 3.5/5. at least ini masih lebih mending drpd MAS182 atau CBC122 (see below)

CBC122 - Biological Chemistry II
Background :
LECTURER nya... Udah no comment. Aku jarang dateng. Duduk aja di kamar baca textbook and you'll get more ;p 1 kali lecture dia akan kasih ~20 slides yang bisa di edit menjadi 4 slides saja dan dalam waktu setengah jam (klo lecture satu jam) dan satu jam lebih dikit (klo lecture dua jam) biasanya lecture sudah selesai.. ya Tuhan...
TUTOR... Nah klo aku sih dapet banyak hal dari sini.. Di kala tutor2x lain cuma jelasin 15 menit and that's it (krn soalnya juga emang ga susah), tutorku jelasin sampe sejam dan bikin variasi soal macem2x.. Trus bisa nanya2x ma dia deh abis itu.. Keren lah.. Sayang banget knp ga dia lecturernya :'(
;p *kata orang yg berasa dirinya pinter**
MATERIALS... Kupikir bakal ada lanjutannya organic chem gitu.. Tahun lalu ada. Mekanisme2x yg susah tp seru. If he had managed his time well, we would have gained more.. maybe some mechanism on DNA hydrolysis or RNA translation, or he could add metabolism and photosynthesis inside. sighhhh.
Exam? So-so lah.. Papernya sih ga terlalu susah, jadi kadang agak takut juga klo degradasi gradenya lmyn heboh.
Overall : 3/5. Thank God that there is no more compulsary biochem modules to be cleared! xD Kalo ada yg mau ambil.. Aku sih prefer ambil modul mutually exclusive nya yg dari BS yea ^^

HW111A - Mastering Communication
Background :
Lecturenya biasa aja. Tutor lebih guna. Gurunya seru sih. Banyak analisis yg seru.
CA? ada 4 CA. Okelah untuk obtain pass grade.. as long as all the assignments are done in time..
Exam ? NO EXAM .
Overall : Core subject.. objections won't be entertained.. Klo yg ga tlalu suka comm kayak aku sih mgkn biasa aja nanggepinnya ya..

pesan akhir...
MARI BERJUANG DI YEAR 2!!! fight!!

Dear benchers.. terimakasih banyak atas kegilaannya! heheheh :)
dan buat temen2x yg bakal convo 2009.. esp. my ISCF fellows.. see you guys.. sering2x main ke NTU ya :)

PERANG SELESAAIII!!

As in the subject..

Lawan pertama - MAS 181 Calculus for the Science 1
As Prof BG - lecturer hoki nya Devi yang sukaaa banget sama "biological system".
Diposting saat : merasa tenang karena exam berikutnya masih about a weekend
Overall : 4/5 (and hope a good grade will come with it)

Lawan kedua - CBC 111 Principles of Modern Chemistry 1
Katanya pelajaran ini agak susah dapet A. Kenapa?
Saya sampe stress. Hmm.. Bukan susah sih mnurut saya. I could do better if they lengthened the time.. 2.5 hours, maybe?
Waktu baca soal..
1 a.. bingung
1 b.. lho katanya not for exam?
1 c.. oke bisa
1 d.. bingung juga
trus baca ulang 1 a.. 1 d.. 1 a.. 1 d.. 1 a..
Baru ngeh maksudnya apa.
Trus nulis nulis.... Stuck
Pindah 1 d.. Stuck lagi
1 a... Eh kepikiran caranya...
"PUT YOUR PEN DOWN"
aaaaaaarrrrrgggghhh!!
Sampe ada yg bilang "good bye my A". Serem banget.
Jangan sampe GPA saya segitu. Huhuhuhuhuhu... Hilanglah kerja keras lab dan mid term.. huhuhuhu... Tuhan, ke dalam tanganMu kuserahkan 111ku. Amin.

Lawan ketiga : CBC 121 Biological Chemistry 1
Inilah pelajarannya si lecturer hoki nya Devi. Not much to say, tapi nilai mid term saya sih mnurut saya cukup mengecewakan saya lah, soalnya saya harusnya bisa jauh lebih dari itu.
And how's the final? Similar to.

Lawan keempat : PAP 181 Foundation of Physics 1
Pass/Fail graded. Tapi setelah saya pikir2x...
40 % = 2/5
GPA maksimum = 5
Grade 'pass' = C
GPA untuk C = 2
kesimpulan : 'pass' = C = 2 = 40% = emang segitu, bukan standardnya turun.
waduhhhhh
trus saya pernah mikir, gmn ya kalo fisikanya graded aja terus matematika pass failed?
nilai fisika saya :
mid term 1 = 12/15 = 80
mid term 2 = 12/15 = 80
80/100 x 5 = 4 = B+
OH NO!!!!!
TO Igna (tempat les A level saya dulu)
TO fisika Igna mirip soal anak engineering
Overall : 3.5/5 deh.. (enggak boleh nyombong =P soalnya kalo graded juga kerja fisika ini blom tentu bagus. cuma karena pass failed aja jadi saya gak terlalu gmn, baca: nggak belajar) semoga pass!

Lawan kelima : CBC 811 Forensic Science
Overall : 4/5. Hmm.. I've tried my best, God will do the rest :)

Lawan keenam : CBC 113 - Basic Organic Chemistry with Laboratory 1
GEDUBRAK
*siap gali kuburan*
good bye my A
rasanya sih nggak A. Kalo A-.... Hmm. Let's see =D
Overall : 2.75/5. Again, Let God do the rest :)

Saya cuma berdoa sama Tuhan.. Amin. *pingsan*
yaaa saya cuma berharap kejadian pas SMA itu (baca post sebelumnya) terulang. gyahahahahha. Amin lagi.
SEMESTER DUA SEMANGAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!
Atashi wa Nihon go 0 benkyou shimasu.
*gak tau bner apa kagak*

Now.... LETS GO ON HOLIDAY!! Happy holiday, Season's Greetings... ^^
